About me
I am Hille de Vries (he/him), and I have been working in mental health care (GGZ) since 2019. Since 2026, I have been working as a psychiatrist at Transparant in Leiden and in my own practice.
I trained at Arkin in Amsterdam and have worked, among others, in the crisis team and various inpatient units. In addition, I worked at the NPI, where I gained experience in the diagnostics and treatment of personality disorders, and at ARQ/Centrum '45, where I gained experience in the diagnostics and treatment of PTSD, as well as in culturally sensitive and LGBTQIA+-sensitive care.
I consider myself fluent in English, and hold a Cambridge Proficiency English grade A certificate. I have also done a rotation at the Royal Cornhill Hospital in Aberdeen, Scotland during my medical training.
I also speak Japanese reasonably well, and hold a JLPT N2 certificate. I have spent half a year doing research at the Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine (KPUM), department of psychiatry

Treatment
My practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of adults with various psychiatric conditions, such as anxiety and mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, personality disorders, autism or ADHD.
Treatment in my practice is not suitable for individuals who regularly require 24 hour care or who occasionally experience severe crises requiring hospitalisation or intensive treatment.
I have been trained in and offer the following forms of treatment:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Short-term Psychoanalytic Supportive Therapy (KPSP in Dutch, which shares similarities with the internationally known ISTDP)
Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET)
EMDR
I also offer treatment with medication

Referral
The referrer is requested to first consult by phone regarding the referral via 06-25537028. This consultation will address the nature of the issues, the reason for referral, and the possibility or limitations of treating the patient in my practice.

At this time there is no waiting period for registration or treatment.
Referral
A referral letter is required for referral. This letter must meet the following requirements:
- Referrer: name, role, and AGB code
- Client: name, address, date of birth, BSN (citizen service number), health insurance provider, and policy number
- Date: must be prior to the intake date
- Indication of the complaints and suspected diagnosis
- Signature: signature and/or stamp

Treatment Fees
The practice does not have contracts with health insurance companies.
Whether you intend to submit the invoice to your insurance or pay for the treatment entirely by yourself, you will receive an invoice from me after one or more consultations. This invoice is to be paid by yourself, after which you can submit it to your insurance company for reimbursement. In addition to the deductible (excess), even if you submit the costs to a Dutch insurance company, you will likely have to pay part of the treatment yourself. International insurance companies sometimes cover the full amount. Fees depend on the number, nature, and duration of the consultations. The rates set by the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) are followed (see the full list on the NZa website):

- Diagnostic consultation 60 min: €284.00
- Diagnostic consultation 90 min: €473.66
- Diagnostic consultation 120 min: €653.92
- Treatment consultation 15 min: €84.25
- Treatment consultation 30 min: €142.71
- Treatment consultation 45 min: €213.25
- Treatment consultation 60 min: €258.59
- Treatment consultation 75 min: €356,05
- Treatment consultation 90 min: €366.52
These rates include all incurred costs, including administrative and logistical expenses.
Appointments must be cancelled at least one full working day in advance if necessary (preferably earlier). If you fail to do so, a no-show fee of €70 will be charged.
